• User interviews - sequenced after the survey (survey breadth first, interview depth on what it surfaces; interview recruitment via survey opt-ins)
• External panel recruitment where the client can't supply users
• Multiple audiences or regions researched distinctly where the project demands it
• Research-raises-research loop planned for, inside the chapter time-box
