1.5 Synthesis - Focused

Tier file - what this step includes at the Focused tier. 1.5 is never optional at any tier; the tiers vary the depth of what feeds it and the weight of the playback.

Included

  • Purpose confirmation - the divergence report and the drafted purpose statement arrive from 1.1 (the analysis runs there at every tier); the playback opens with the divergence charts and confirms the purpose statement with the Decider
  • Synthesis session (principal-led) - shorter, because the inputs are leaner
  • The Keystone from the standard template - same structure as every tier (current-state & market findings; direction & success metrics), leaner findings
  • Playback: a focused remote session (60 minutes), opening with the purpose confirmation above
  • One capped revision cycle, then sign-off

Not Included (Upgrade Triggers)

  • In-person / extended playback workshop → Core or Full.

Outputs

  • Keystone - the tier's fixed deliverable and the gate into Architect
  • Same artefact at every tier; the fixed price is honest because the document structure never changes, only the depth behind it
