Launch & Enablement - Productised Elements

The three-bucket deliverables position below is agreed and now stated in the Cornerstone boilerplate on every project. Its contract language (MSA/engagement terms) still needs tightening - the market research supporting it is summarised here, with DBA membership

  • its legal helpline as the route to UK-body-endorsed wording if wanted.

The Model

  1. A fixed price per size - S £2,000 · M £2,500 · L £2,500 · XL £3,500. Whether a client moves to Momentum is often, but not always, known up front, so the price does not fork on that. 6.1 readiness scales with its own cycle count, and 6.3 (handover and the day-30 report) is carried at every size - the handover is the process's final gate and, for the ~95% who continue, the Momentum kickoff, so it is never dropped. That is why M and L price the same: 6.3 was the only line separating them (see effort model flag 8). The codebase handover is a conditional line, +£1,000, priced when taken (cleanup pass and full transfer, for the ~5% who do not continue). Launch is the most standardised work in the process; it prices like it.
  2. The warranty is part of the product: 60 days from launch - or 30 days after written acceptance, whichever comes first - scoped as the Cornerstone boilerplate defines (defects against agreed scope, fix-only, standard exclusions). Market-positioned: 30 days is the small-agency mode, 90 the enterprise norm; 60 reads generous at trivial marginal risk and bridges into Momentum.
  3. The three-bucket deliverables position (market-validated):
    • Deliverables - the final outputs, assigned on full payment: the Keystone, the Cornerstone, the deployed site, and (on the standalone path) its bespoke code. Handing over the codebase is more generous than several published UK terms, and it is what professional buyers actually protect.
    • Working materials - Figma sources, drafts, unused concepts: retained (the UK statutory default and the dominant published norm), available on written request at a quoted fee; font and stock licences do not transfer regardless.
    • Background IP - Acorn, Canopy, Roost, the prompts, the toolkits: always retained, licensed perpetually as embedded in the deliverables.
  4. The handover meeting is the Momentum kickoff - warranty status, the routed punch list into the partnership's first cycles, CI cadence agreed. The delivery process's last act is the relationship's first.

Selling Notes

  • "No Friday launches" is a confidence line, not an apology - the launch rules exist because launches should be boring.
  • Early life is visible care: two weeks of us watching before the client ever needs to report anything - worth saying out loud at acceptance.
  • The escrow concession: if enterprise procurement pushes on code ownership beyond the standard position, source-code escrow is the professional-buyer mechanism - concede that, never the working files or Background IP.
  • "+ VAT" always stated.
